The first 24 hours after injection you should avoid excessive sweating, hot tubbing or using a sauna or steam room. This could denature the neurotoxin and decrease its effectiveness. It typically takes 3-7 days for the immobilization to take effect. It is safe to apply makeup shortly after injecting.

Length of effect depends on how long you have be receiving neurotoxin injections. For some patient it can last 3-6 months.

You may experience some slight bruising especially in the crow’s feet areas. You may also experience drooping of the eyelids or facial asymmetry. Please call the office if you experience any of these.
